Selva Capuzza

The Colli a Lago Cellar, the heart of Selva Capuzza, dates from 1908, when Count Bonmartini founded the original cellar which he named “Hirundo”. Through the years the Colli a Lago Cellar has become the central vine of a branching enterprise. In 1983 the Selva Capuzza estate was founded with the purchase of the existing farm house and adjacent vineyards. In 2003 they added the old farmhouse dating from the 14th century Borgo San Donino. The Colli a Lago Cellar now enjoys having a central position between Cascina Capuzza and Borgo San Donino. A path 870 steps long links the three and leads us from wine to food to the art of a lost time. We offer a large space dedicated to tasting and events. During the summer season these can be held under a large wood and brick portico which looks out onto the truffle fields and vineyards.

Wine production is based on the use of DOC wines found in the area: Lugana, Garda Classico and San Martino della Battaglia, all of which carry the Selva Capuzza name in honor of this beautiful and unique land. Each wine has its own clear identity, and those which have a particularly strong personality are given the name of a place, a vine and an antique memory.
